How do you and or your business celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month?

By teaching my three children to be bilingual - teaching them to speak and read in Spanish.

How have you/can we continue to raise awareness of Hispanic Heritage?

By continuing to participate in community events that celebrate Hispanic Heritage.  Recently, I had my daughter, Nina, dance in Union City and perform for the Hispanic Senior Community.  I continue to raise awareness of Hispanic Heritage by trying to encourage more Hispanic people to consider lobbying as a profession as with our firm's Associate, Trevor Mulhall.

What is one thing you would like others to know about your Hispanic Heritage?

I was born in Cuba and came to the United States in 1968 with my mother and my two brothers. My father was born in Spain and was not permitted to come directly into the United States with us. Communism seperated our families for 8 years until I was 12 years old and we were able to get my father a visa to the United States.

What are some traditions, celebrations, or rituals your family participates in?

Every Christmas my entire family gets together to attend mass. We then go to my older brothers house where we roast a pig and play dominoes together, a tradition we have been carrying out my entire life.
