What inspired you to join/start your business?
My mother, Sharla Feldscher, started the business back in 1984. I joined her 7 years ago. We're both passionate about the creative parts of Public Relations. We love building community relationships, finding the newsworthy story and pitching it to the press and creating publicity events that showcase a client's business.
FHPR loves to be a true part of our clients' teams. We work together to find the best stories and create the best opportunities for positive media attention!
What challenges have you faced as a woman entrepreneur and how did you overcome them?
Right now I have to say my largest struggle is the juggle. Working IN my business and working ON my business while helping my kids with their school work and all of the necessary chores to have a successful day is very time consuming. Keeping my to do lists is the most important part of my day but sometimes even that can be overwhelming! LOL
What was your most satisfying moment in your career?
Thankfully I have a handful of thoughts come to mind! But a big one is when my client, Spring Hills Cherry Hill Assisted Living, had an informational activity about the 2016 Summer Olympics event on the morning of the opening ceremonies. Knowing that an Olympics event with seniors on that morning would be extremely newsworthy, we worked closely with Spring Hills and turned the event into an actual Olympic event complete with a torch ceremony (made with tiki torches and paper flames, Olympic rings (made of hula hoops), Olympic games like balloon volleyball and a crowning of the winners. We had success with SNJ Today, KYW Newsradio and Cydney Long from NBC 10 came out. The big excitement is that when the NBC news aired, the reporter IN RIO threw the piece to Cydney locally.
How do you define success?
I think that happiness is the most important part of success! If you're happy, your client is happy, your family is happy, etc., that's the best!
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received.... up at the top would be from my mother! Find something you love to do and find a way to make it your job. That turns the 4-letter word WORK into a 3-letter word... FUN!
What women inspire you and why?
Michelle Obama! She has worked so hard in her life and is so honest and loving, even in the spotlight. She truly shows herself to be sincere, decent, generous and brilliant!
What advice would you give to other women entrepreneurs?
Work hard and be a part of a team! When you're able to work well with other people, you can accomplish SO much! I also think that if you can take a public speaking course, take it. It will help you in every aspect of working with clients!
Describe yourself in three words.
Loyal, Friendly and Sincere
Fill in the Blank:

- The one thing I couldn’t live without is… my family.
- By this time next year, I will be…in my office and my kids will be in school! LOL Also, I'd like to see if my business has truly begun expanding according to my goals.
- The best thing that happened to me last week was… I got my first dose of the COVID vaccine!
- To get my creative juices flowing, I… talk to people about whatever I'm working on, brainstorm.
