With the down economy piling stress on everyone, it's important to take time to celebrate some of the good in our region.
The
Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey did that Monday with its annual
Pinnacle Awards, making note of individuals and groups that make a
difference.Among others, the chamber recognized:
PNC Bank for its role as a leader in bringing more environmentally sound buildings to the region;
Lockheed Martin for emphasizing the importance of education;
Mount Laurel's Gene Principato as the region's volunteer of the year;
Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt as the recipient of the Public Service Award.
We
applaud these people and organizations for their efforts, and we
applaud the chamber for recognizing their good deeds. A heartfelt
thanks goes to them all.
