NJSAE Announces the 2006 Positive Impact Awards
Monday, December 18, 2006
At the NJSAE/DVSAE Conference & Exhibition Outgoing President Bill Schwab presented Positive Impact Awards to two associations that have truly excelled this year. The awards were given to these organizations for utilizing original thinking to successfully implement a project/activity that produced a positive impact on the organization, its membership, and/or its vital communities.
Chamber of Commerce-Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) The Chamber looked to raise the bar of their organization by applying for and receiving the ISO 9001:2000 Certification in order to improve the value of its membership. Driven by staff, they examined every function and process in CCSNJ and put into place a first-rate process to guarantee future improvements. When reviewing the application, the accrediting firm did not find a single glitch in CCSNJ’s management system. In January 2006, CCSNJ was granted certification, making it the first and only chamber in the United States to be ISO 9001:2000 certified. Accepting the award on behalf of the CCSNJ Board was Jim Ziereis.
