Long-time Southern New Jersey Banker Brings Experience, Market Knowledge to Bank

Investors Bank has appointed Christopher Warren to the position of Senior Vice President and Team Leader for the commercial banking team in the Burlington and Camden County markets. Warren will be located in the Mount Laurel office and report to Market Executive John T. Harrison.

Warren brings more than three decades of experience in the southern New Jersey market to Investors Bank. He delivered myriad services in commercial, middle market, and merchant banking, and has worked extensively with businesses, professional firms, and not-for-profit organizations.

“Chris’s vast knowledge and experience, as well as his passion for developing strong customer relationships, will be a significant addition to the southern New Jersey commercial banking team,” said Harrison. “He will provide excellent leadership to the team, and enhance Investors’ expansion in the market to meet – and exceed – the business banking needs of southern New Jersey.”

Warren will be expanding Investors Bank’s commercial lending team in the Burlington and Camden County markets, with a particular focus on small to mid-sized businesses. “I am looking forward to helping the team deliver a broad range of financing to the market – from short-term lines of credit to commercial mortgages for a variety of real estate types,” said Warren. “There is enormous potential in this market, and I look forward to expanding Investors’ opportunities to work with businesses, professional firms and not-for-profit organizations who help define the area.”

Recently named one of the most influential leaders in the South Jersey business community (2018: SJ Biz Power 50), Warren began his banking career in the commercial credit training program at Philadelphia National Bank/CoreStates. During his tenure at CoreStates, Warren was the managing director of the Bank’s merchant banking subsidiary in Sydney, Australia. Warren also was the Senior Vice President and the business banking area manager at Citibank with responsibility for the southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey market. He also has held several other senior executive positions with other financial institutions that provided him with experience in team and individual production, maintaining credit quality for business banking and middle market segments, portfolio management, and revenue growth in the southern New Jersey market.

“Investors Bank is known for its long-standing commitment to the community,” said Warren, “and I am proud to have the opportunity to become a part of that tradition. Investors has a unique position in the southern New Jersey market, in that it is large enough to be relevant to businesses – well-capitalized, great credit strength – and yet works tirelessly to ensure that its employees and customers truly feel that they are important. I am excited to join a bank that genuinely cares.”

Personal Commitment to Community

Warren maintains his own personal commitment to the community. He is a trustee with a number of organizations, including for the Boys & Girls Club of Camden County, The Virtua Foundation, and Oaks Integrated Care. Warren also is a member of the Virtua Health System’s Finance & Investment Committee. Through his previous positions, he also served as a trustee with the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey, and was a director for the Coopers Ferry Partnership.

As a result of his service and commitment to children, The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County will honor Warren at the organization’s annual gala on February 21. He has been named a “Citizens Champion”.

Warren earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He has an adult daughter; he and wife Elizabeth live in Moorestown, New Jersey.
