Century Savings Bank Names Dave Hanrahan, President; 
Joe Rehm, Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending

Century Savings Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of David J. Hanrahan as President and Joseph F. Rehm as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending. The position of President and Chief Executive Officer, currently held by David J. Hemple, has been separated into two positions. Mr. Hemple will continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer, while Mr. Hanrahan will serve as President. These additions to the leadership team align with the strategic plan for the ongoing success and expansion of the commercial lending division of the bank and to further demonstrate our dedication to continuous improvement throughout the organization.

As president, Mr. Hanrahan will be responsible for directly overseeing the lending division of the bank as well as the development of new and expansion of existing loan products and services and exploration into new markets. “Dave Hemple and I are committed to a partnership of innovation that will drive growth in all of our business and commercial lines. Century’s deep community roots, long history, financial strength, and mutual structure make it ideally suited to serve the unique banking needs of South Jersey,” stated Hanrahan.

As Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending, Mr. Rehm will focus on expanding Century’s commercial client base by offering flexible solutions tailored to meet the needs of area businesses. “I am excited to join the Century team to help drive the growth and development of the commercial lending division while leveraging our unique value proposition as a mutual bank,” said Rehm.

Biographical Information
 Dave Hanrahan
Dave Hanrahan, a banking veteran with over 32 years of experience, was the founding president and CEO of Capital Bank of New Jersey, a de novo bank formed in 2007 in Vineland, New Jersey. Prior to becoming president and CEO of Capital Bank, Hanrahan spent 16 years at The Bank of Gloucester County, now part of Fulton Bank of New Jersey. In 2010, he was recognized by the New Jersey Bankers Association as a New Leader in Banking. In 2013, Hanrahan received a Professionally Accomplished Alumni Award from Rutgers–Camden. He was also named an Executive of the Year by South Jersey Biz magazine in 2013.

Hanrahan is a past chairman of the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Community and Economic Development Committee, a past member of ABA's Foundation Board, and a past member of ABA's Community Bankers Council. From 2016 to 2019, he served on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Community Bankers Bank in Camp Hill, PA and for more than 10 years, he has been a member of the Rutgers University–Camden School of Business Dean’s Leadership Council. He served for three years on the FDIC Advisory Committee on Community Banking, and presently serves on the FDIC Subcommittee on Supervision Modernization. From 2008 to 2015, he was a director and past board president of Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity. Hanrahan holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Rutgers University– Camden School of Business. He is also a graduate of the ABA's Stonier Graduate School of Banking and is a member of the Vineland Rotary Club and Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia.

Joseph F. Rehm
With more than 20 years of banking experience, Joe Rehm was a member of the initial management team for Capital Bank of New Jersey. During his tenure, his responsibilities included: Vice President – Loan Officer, Gloucester County Market Manager, Senior Vice President Loan Officer, CRA officer, and Executive Vice President / Chief Lending Officer – a position he held until the bank sold in January of 2019.

 

Joe is a graduate of the ABA Commercial Lending School and the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking where he earned his Wharton Leadership Certificate. He has been recognized by the New Jersey Bankers Association as a New Leader in Banking (2011), Southern New Jersey Business People 40 under 40 (2014), South Jersey Biz Magazine as one of the 20 under 40 Award Winners (2015) and NJ Biz 40 under 40 (2018). Additionally, in 2018 South Jersey Biz Magazine named him one of its Top Executives.

Rehm has served several volunteer leadership roles, including past president of the Gloucester County YMCA, Vice Chair of the Executive Committee for the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer of the Tri County Community Action Partnership, the Vineland Chamber of Commerce Economic Growth Council and the ABA Community and Economic Development Committees. He was one of the founding members of the South Jersey Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association.
