KEYNOTE ADDRESS
"Hiring our Local Veterans"

Alex Archawski

Founder, Greater Philadelphia Veterans Network

In 2010 Navy veteran Alex Archawski founded the Greater Philadelphia Veteran Network (GPVN), a nonprofit empowering veterans with employment, professional development, and veteran entrepreneurism. GPVN strives to help companies understand ‘how to hire’ vets and to build an ecosystem of successful veteran employees, leaders, and veteran-owned businesses.

After transitioning twice out of the service (active duty and reserves), Alex knows the challenges faced by veterans seeking civilian employment. In his role with GPVN, he actively shares his job searching experiences and successes with those who have been transitioning out of the military and serves as a mentor for veterans. Alex has also developed programs for companies to help them better understand how to hire our veterans.

Join us for an insightful discussion about what employers need to know about the benefits of hiring transitioning service members and how they can best support them in the workplace.
