Two new employment laws were recently signed into law that impact nearly every employer in the State. Our panel of experts will provide a practical breakdown of the New Jersey Equal Pay Law (effective July 1, 2018) and the New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Law (effective October 29, 2018). These new employer mandates impose many new and challenging obligations upon New Jersey employers: from providing equal pay (beyond gender) to those who perform “substantially similar work,” to job-protected paid leave for all employees (full-time, part-time, temporary and seasonal). These are game-changing laws!
